Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (815) 207-4442. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, allstardentalclinic.com.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 330 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded dentists in Joliet.
Joliet is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Joliet follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We drove over 2 hours to come here due to not being able to find a closer children's dentist that accepts state insurance. Both my boys needed dental work and they were able to do treatment same day since we had a referral and came from so far away. The dentist was SO quick which is so important when you've got a kid panicking in the chair. I am so grateful we found this dentist and we're able to get their painful teeth fixed. I only wish they offered sedation options, but that's my only hang up. Otherwise, I don't have anything negative to say about this place!! Everyone was kind and helpful and the actual dental work was done very quickly! I definitely recommend taking your kids here for treatment!

We had a horrible experience here. They were very rough when installing crowns. My daughter was crying and the doctor kept telling my 4 year old to “stop crying!” They installed the tooth and took it out at least 4 times on the SAME tooth. Extremely rough. When I expressed she was in pain the FEMALE doctor responded saying “she’s numb it doesn’t hurt” when my daughter was obviously in pain and screaming. Dental assistants are nice and patient but the doctor was rude and had no compassion. Paid out of pocket for the white crown because it was in the front and it looks horrible. They didn’t do a mold or anything so the crown is HUGE compared to her other teeth. 0/10 recommendation. I went to another dentist and am paying less for out of pocket care than I am on Medicaid insurance. I recommend “the loose tooth” in Plainfield. They offer laughing gas and have a much more gentle procedure than this horrible place. If you care for your children please don’t bring them here. They told me she needed crowns when all she needed was fillings!! I’m so aggravated!

The worst dentist I’ve ever taken my kids to. They’re unprofessional, They have had nasty attitudes, The dentist is ignorant she made accusations and unnecessary comments to me because my daughter needs a lot of dental work done to her genetics on her dads side not because I neglected her oral care. The girls at the desk don’t understand anything you say it’s like talking to a wall and the dentist cancels appointments at the last minute (I know emergencies happen and that is why I was understanding) When we were finally able to get back in for an appointment there was a Ton of construction and car accidents on the interstate so we were running a little behind (We drove from over an hour away) When I called to inform them that we would be a little over 10 minutes late they said they could no longer get us in. You would think that maybe they would have accommodated us for canceling on us last minute the time before (Like I stated above I understand last minute emergencies happen but that’s what happen in our case also) Not to mention they’ve advertised that any appointments after being 15 minutes late may result in having to reschedule, We were under 15 minutes. I would recommend goi

My daughter was scheduled for 6-month cleaning but had a broken tooth that was really causing her a lot of pain. They were able to accommodate me and pull her tooth out that day instead of making me have to come back for another appointment. I'm very thankful and relieved that they had the compassion to help her that day. Five stars all around ❤️

This dentist office is great! All of the staff is friendly and they do very well with kids! My 5 year old needed two filings and after going through a lot to find a dentist that accepts his insurance I was a little hesitant, but this office was a pleasant surprise! The dentist went above and beyond to make my son comfortable! Also there is a play area in the waiting room for little kids! Update: kids play area thing broke, it has been replaced with tables and toys for the kids to play with while they wait. It also has been painted and looks really nice. This place isn’t state of the art or fancy, but staff is always great, my kids never leave scared or upset. All of the dentists are kind and great with kids. Would definitely recommend.
